This year is the first time we visit Essen Spiel as Pektis. We left very early from Frankfurt to have enough time to see as much as possible. After a 3 hour drive we finally arrived at Essen. Even though 30.000 people visit the convention every day the traffic was unproblematic and the parking situation perfect. From the parking site we took a shuttle bus directly to the exhibition site and bank 5 minutes later we are at the SPIEL.
Admission was uncomplicated despite Corona and the staff did their best to ensure that everything went quickly.
The exhibition center was divided into five halls that could be visited, all of which were directly connected to one another.
During our six our trip we had the possibility to talk with a lot of board game manufacturer like LongPackGames, Whatz Games, BodaGames and may more. It was incredible helpful to talk in person with some of there employees and get some more information about the production process of our first game Wanderlust which is estimated for spring 2022. An other very helpful possibility was to talks with Shipping Fulfillment Companies like Quartermaster Logistics.
It was also great that we could see the creations of different very talented artists. On the occasion, Echo immediately pocketed the business cards of some she liked.
